As we commemorate the independence of our island nation St. Vincent and the Grenadines during the month of October, we want to highlight what independence means to us as caterers and entrepreneurs.
One of the key benefits of being an entrepreneur is independence. To us, this independence is manifested in the freedom we have to make our own decisions, being wholly responsible for the consequences of these decisions, planning our schedule to provide a healthy work-life balance and just having the power to be creative in charting our own course and walking in the path that we ourselves have forged.
Changing your course or leaving your traditional job is risky and there will undoubtedly be serious reservations about whether you are making the right decision. Sometimes, the need to create and build something of your own that you believe in far outweighs the fear and risks. As family oriented people, cooking and sharing good food with others is a part of our essence so catering came naturally.
While job security is a huge attraction to many, we have taken a chance on our dream and have zero regrets. Our entrepreneurial journey has been an exciting learning curve. Through it all we remain enthused, we remain discerning and most importantly, we remain committed. Committed to excellence, committed to originality, committed to discovering our true potential.
