2020 has invariably resulted in cancellations of travel plans, professional and academic pursuits, and generally, life as we know it, but one thing is certain: LOVE IS NOT CANCELLED Despite the odds, couples are staying committed to getting married and have chosen to do so in the most intimate ways. From our experience, Minimonies and Micro Weddings have all the character traits of a traditional wedding but on a much smaller scale, ranging from 5 to 50 persons. Though it may be disappointing for you to pivot from your fairytale vision of a grand celebration, simple does not mean less special. In fact, there are many benefits to a more intimate affair. You will not Break the Bank: A lower guest count means less invitations, favors, physical space and mouths to feed. This ultimately results in cost savings for you and your betrothed. Micro Wedding = Macro Experience: The sky is the limit with how creative you can get. Cost savings can lead to increased luxuries and this is the ultimate time to customize your wedding by adding all the personal accents that are not possible for over 100 guests. So focus on quality over quantity. IN-TI-MACY: In curating the ultimate wedding experience, you can make it as meaningful as possible. From a special location such as the restaurant where you had your first date, the shoreline where you first kissed, the garden spot where he proposed … small groups can fit anywhere! Ultimately, couples should make the choice that is best for them and the Simply Delish team wants to highlight that love can be celebrated in many different ways. This has been the case for centuries and in the face of many adversities. So invite the people who mean the absolute most to you and your fiancé, celebrate your story at a beautiful location and create memorable moments together. You may only have 10% of your desired guest list present, but it can still be a whole celebration!

…and again SimplyDelish have us covered! LOVE IS NOT CANCELLED… indeed it’s not! 🙂 A title perfect for a Hallmark Channel Christmas Movie 🙂 … “simple does not mean less special. In fact, there are many benefits to a more intimate affair.” Correct again you are; furthermore, one may feel ‘robbed’ not being able to have ALL their loved ones on their special day but this too has its benefits – eg now you can go ‘wild’ on your ‘thank you notes and gift baskets’ 🙂 broaden your vision and think beyond just a ceremony and a reception! If we look more closely we would all see that the best things in life are often the simplest:)
Great article!
